It might be simpler for the first dozen members who managed to post images to the site, but then everyone else would have to wait in a queue till someone took an image down so there was room for one of theirs. We have only the webspace which is hosted by the boards we use, and a couple of sites I have donated from my reseller sites. These allow us to have the tutorials, freebies, archives and so on, and the forums. To accommodate all the images in the forums would require far more space than we can afford. We don't want to become a paying membership site, so we don't think it unreasonable to ask the members to provide the webspace for their images. The vast majority of our members have their own sites, and those who don't seem happy to use photobucket or similar. Most folk who are on line are given free webspace by their ISP, which can be used. If the host does not allow hot linking, then you just need to put your image on an HTML page which will dispay it, and enter that page URL into your message so folk can click on the link and see your image. If hot linking is allowed then all you need do is upload your image to your site so you can link to it in your message using the image button.
