Had Daz studio for about 3 wks and This is the first sort of complex scene I've tried with the models I've made. Have to learn lighting and shadowing.

Well done, Kalazar. That is a great scene.  When I first started with Poser models I used to get arms disappearing into chests, hands on backwards and so on. It took me ages to learn to pose figures without giving them horrendous deformities, but yours are beautifully natural looking.

I did several years as a theatre lighting designer, and that helps a lot with lighting and shadows. I would recommend getting a book on stage lighting - one that concentrates on light direction and shadows rather than one that talks about the various types of lamps. Poser and all 3D artwork has a lot in common with setting the scenery and characters on a stage, which is probably why I like it. Virtual lighting does not require you to shin up 40ft ladders! People used to say that if they phoned the theatre asking to speak to me the answer was always 'Hang on, she's up a ladder'.  I am far too old and decrepit for that sort of activity now, but I can still re-create it with Poser and Vue.

Looks great to me!

I play in DAZland every chance I get. I'm still struggling with lighting, but Walt is very good with that and helps when he can.

Kal, nicely done.  Love the scene.  Good luck with the shadowing and light.

Carol, great story and a fun memory.

Very nice pic m8. You got the scene looking good and as Carol said, if you read up on the lighting you will soon be sorting your light/shadows out which can make a world of difference.
